Joint TOA and DOA Estimation for UWB Systems with Antenna Array via Doubled Frequency Sample Points and Extended Number of Clusters

The ultra-wideband (UWB) system, which transmits information using nanosecond or even sub-nanosecond pulses, has been widely applied in precise positioning. In this paper, we investigate the problem of time arrival (TOA) estimation and direction (DOA) UWB systems with antenna array propose a joint TOA DOA algorithm doubled frequency sample points extended number clusters. Specifically, proposed uses two antennas to receive impinging signals utilizes conjugate symmetry characteristic delay matrices extend as well Moreover, order obtain estimates low computational complexity, transforms two-dimensional (2D) spectral search one-dimensional (1D) searches. can then be achieved by results geometric information. Simulation are given testify performance algorithm.
